- Chureito Pagoda — the most photographed Fuji view in Japan

- Mt. Fuji 5th Station (1st July–10th September, climbing season)
- Itchiku Kubota Art Museum (kimono textile art)
- Fujiyama Beer & local Hoto noodle soup cuisine
Model Day Trip Itinerary
Depart Shinjuku by Fuji Excursion limited express or highway bus (book in advance, especially weekends)
Arrive Kawaguchiko Station — rent bicycle or take bus to north shore viewpoints
Climb to Chureito Pagoda (398 steps, 20-min ascent) for iconic pagoda-with-Fuji backdrop photo
Walk along the northern lakeshore (Ubuyagasaki promontory) for lake reflection views
Lunch in Kawaguchiko town — try local Hoto (flat udon noodle hotpot with pumpkin and vegetables, ¥1,200–¥1,600)
Visit Itchiku Kubota Art Museum or Kachi-kachi Ropeway for mountain-top Fuji views
Optional: Fujikyu Highland theme park (Fuji roller coasters visible against the mountain)
Depart Kawaguchiko for Shinjuku, arriving around 19:00
Stay Overnight? — Highly Recommended
Staying overnight lets you see Fuji at dawn when views are clearest, catch the famous "inverse Fuji" lake reflection at sunrise, and avoid the extreme crowds that pack buses and viewpoints on weekday afternoons.
